Ok...What's Goin' On?

***Edited to show the video from Thursday night***
I witnessed it myself tonight...that's right, they sang it again.
I have to say...I could hardly believe I was seeing what I was seeing. Did you see it?!

Tonight, AI opened with the Top 8 singing Shout to the Lord! Oh my!

I really don't know what to say about it other than the following:
I still can't really believe it happened.
It sounded really good.
The performance was a tad cheesy - no thank you on the right step, left step.
I think it's great, and at the same time funny, how the Lord chooses to make His Truth known.
I still can't really believe it happened.

Phillipians 2:9-11
For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

I followed you over here from BooMamas AI post. I was as astounded as you were about the song choice.

Did you notice that in the version you posted they sang "My Shepherd" instead of "My Jesus" at the beginning? On Thursday night they sang "My Jesus". That was big!!

I kept thinking through the whole song that someone would shoot their hands to the sky in praise!! It was SO great.

Thanks for posting this.

I've been tickled about the whole thing. Travis Cottrell had some great thoughts about it. I have a link to him on my blog post.

I heard this on the radio as the Wednesday night show was closing. I wondered for a second what I was listening to and then realized it was AI. I was pretty surprised. It made more sense when they brought some guy out (I couldn't see who it was, because it was on radio) cracking jokes about how everyone had already left. Apparently they needed to bleep most of what he said. I noticed because Kaelyn was with me and we talked about how they couldn't just close the show praising God. They had to bring out the pottymouth so they would still be "cool." Nonetheless, surprising and good to see (hear).
