Sam trying hard
According to Sam, he was trying very hard to peddle the trailer with Grey on it. That’s a  legit explanation. But that expression?
That expression still looks pretty evil to me.

Maybe not his very best picture ever.

No, I Can't Take Credit.

This is from a little restaurant called Fred's, in North Carolina. We always eat breakfast there when we visit the grandparents.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Wordless Wednesday

Go ahead and shoot me, this one has some words...for the sake of explanation.
This is Bob...riding on Sam's shoulders.

Sadly, No Man in the Yellow Hat

Keep in mind, Grey's banana costume is loose interpretation.

No pictures in this one

So I haven't really blogged anything of much substance recently. Not to say what I've blogged about hasn't been important (i.e. the kiddos). But I know not everyone wants to look at pictures of the two cutest little boys there ever were. ::wink wink::

This isn't going to have a whole lot of substance either, but one thing it won't have is pictures.
Bob and grandparents, sorry. Everyone else, you're welcome.

1 - I need a maid. It's official. I cannot keep my house picked up, let alone actually clean while protecting Grey, changing 12+diapers a day, playing with 2 boys and preparing meals. I can't do it. You probably can. I can't. AND, I'm tired of beating myself up about it everyday.

Whew.

2 - Sam cracks me up. It is unreal what he understands and can communicate. Recent developments include us actually dialoguing....which is weird.

3 - I am now convinced that males come out of the womb able to selectively ignore what they don't want to hear focus rather intently.

4 - For Halloween, Sam's going to be a monkey and Grey's going to be a banana. Is that weird?

5 - Do you think I could convince Bob to dress up like The Man in the Yellow Hat?

6 - I heart the Swaddle Me. Why didn't I have one of these with Sam? Duh.

7 - For some reason, I'm obsessed with diaper burp cloths with decorator fabric off Etsy, like this, this, this, and this. The way things are going now, I can't have too many.

8 - I love sweaters, cardigans especially. I'm so glad it's now actually possible to wear them on some days without sweating my face off.

9 - I've had no less than 20 pumpkin spice lattes since they started selling them again. Hi there calories, you sure do taste delicious.

10 - When Sam was 4 months old, I was ready to start thinking about having another kid. I can not imagine feeling that way when Grey is 4 months. We'll see though...crazier things have happened.

They Call it a Carv-O-Rama

The husband of one of my very best friends works at this company called Matchstic. From what I can tell, all the employees are pretty stinkin' talented AND creative, which is a benefit to them seeing as how they're in the business of branding...businesses.

Anyway, each year (this makes the fourth), they hold a pumpkin carving contest. If you wanna see some pretty sweet carved pumpkins, click here.

And if you're feeling generous, vote for Planet of the Apes. That's my friend's pumpkin and I know he would appreciate it.

Thanks.
Any of y'all carving pumpkins this year? We did but I think I should trash it after seeing those...

And in totally un-related news...I think this is my 200th post. Yay, celebrate, go me.

Don't Get Lost in the Corn Maze

Luckily, we did not. In fact, the Corn Maze was so muddy, we didn't even go in. We did have some quality family time and get some cool pumpkins. I love this time of year.

Typical family picture...Bob making a goofy smile and just waiting for the picture taking to be over and me holding a squirmy Sam who has no interest in looking at the camera. Good times.

I Think the Picture Speaks for Itself

For the record, I'm not a huge fan of Halloween decor. Harvest decoration I like...Halloween, not so much.

Maybe this can help explain why...

Adios Summer!

Growing up, I would definitely tell you that Summer was my favorite season. Wasn't it every kid's favorite?

Raise your hand if you wouldn't enjoy a break from school, staying up late, having sleep-overs in the middle of the week, playing at the pool ALL day and taking long vacations with your family. Ok, you...with your hand up, your vote doesn't count and you probably like Vanilla Caramel creamer anyway.

Along with many other opinions, my favorite season has now changed as well. Drumroll please....it is now Fall, slash Autumn slash the cool breeze that blows away the overwhelming heat and humidity of an Alabama Summer. And as of today folks, it is officially Fall.

A few of my favorite things, most reserved for Fall...but some I enjoy a little bit ahead of time:
Sweaters (namely cardigans)
Covering up with a blanket on the couch
Bundling up a baby (seriously, how cute are little kids all bundled up?) Ok, that's probably more for winter but it's such a cute picture....go on, picture it.
Football games
Maple tree leaves turning red and yellow
Pumpkins
Candy Corn Pumpkins - yum!
Thanksgiving...just in general
Homemade Apple Pie (DE-licious)
Taco Soup
Pumpkin Spice Lattes

(Kind of food themed there at the end, huh? Get over it, I'm a chunk.)
