The ride was 17 miles long.
However, this beautiful trail had a delightful slope to it. We definitely peddled, but for the vast majority of the ride, we didn't have to.
The weather was awesome and Sam was a trooper. Here he is in his little bike carriage.
So, for all of you who, so kindly, left me comments saying how impressed you are...don't be. It was a fun, leisurely ride, not really Tour-de-Franceish.

okay..so first of all.. i would not have attempted this..even if I didn't have to peddle very much... so you get super kudos. I would love to be that kind of person.. you know who exercises.. but I am having a hard time becoming her.
I thought "chasing" toddlers counted as cardio. go figure.
Ok, well, I'm just impressed Sam was content for that long! Savannah would have been trying to stand up and get out!! Looks like it was so much fun though - I love being outside! Maybe one day we will attempt a bike ride. ;)
