Erica - Yes!!!!! Rachel - definitely my plan of attack as well...unless I'm feeling all brave and let's-conquer-a-fear like. Jenna - that made me laugh out loud.
Yea, I flinch and have to turn my face away and scrunch up my eyes in case it explodes all over me while opening my little tube of crescent rolls. Glad others can relate!
I must not have it - I actually love to open them. I miss the old kind from when we were kids that you banged on the counter to get them to pop. And it's because of those that my entire family calls canned biscuits "whop biscuits"....because you had to whop the can on the counter. :o) However, I have now found the ultimate (paula deen) biscuit recipe, so Matthew won't abide by anything other than homemade. But I still get my can popping fix from crescent rolls and cinnamon rolls. OH! And the orange rolls, mmmm. (drooling)
Yes! We can only have canned biscuits or cinnamon rolls on Preston's off days, so he can open the can - and I can be in the other room.
I have really tried to get over that fear. I have sat with one of those cans in my hands for 10 minutes, trying to get up the will-power to just pull it (the paper). I mean, what I am scared of? I know the pop is coming, and I know it won't hurt and will be over as soon as it starts. And yet, I always end up putting it back in the fridge and waiting until Preston is home. Pathetic, I know.
And yes, I am "uncomfortable" with balloons as well.

HAHA, Greta. That cracks me up. I don't have it but know someone who does. Do you also jump if a balloon pops?
oh I HATE those stupid cans. It is almost to much for me to handle... if there is someone else around.. I make them open it.

really people? i think those things are so much fun to open...
also, are you peeling the paper back first? because that is really what's holding it together and then you just pop the cardboard.
I have to agree...I tend to cringe a little as I open those and 99% of the time jump, even though I know the pop is coming! Why is that???
Bek- hahaha, yes I do peel back the paper! That picture was just a stock photo.
