It's Not Even in the Top Ten

But it was still weird.

I'm talking about weird things that random people do to my child.

Sam and I went to lunch today with my good friend (and one of his favorite people), Jessica (who does not have a blog but should totally start one).

At a table nearby, there were two older women. They were obviously enjoying their meal like we were. They finished before us though and were going back and forth to the trash can to clear off their table.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw one of the women, on one of her passes by our table, gently stroke the back of Sam's neck.

She didn't say anything, to him, or to us. Just the stroke in passing.

How weird. If you're gonna touch my kid, at least tell me how cute you think he is.

OH MY GOSH! This happened to us in the grocery store the other day. I was wearing Rae, and Mac was in the buggy. I turned my back for a second to pick out some potatoes, and when I turned back around, some TEEEENY TINY lady was touching Mac's face and cooing to him in Italian. She looked over towards me, saw and smiled at Rachael, and then walked off. Never made eye contact with me or anything. It was more than a little strange!

Ewww, that IS creepy. And you were right to emphasize TEENY TINY b/c for some reason, that's make it even more creepy!

Well, the whole scenario was just peculiar. The tiny lady. The Italian. The face touching. The complete ignoring of my presence. (shrug) Weird day!

I cannot stop laughing to myself here at work just thinking about that! Too funny...in a super-creepy way! =) And I'll think about starting a blog...thanks for the push. ;)

Ick - that is creepy. My top creepy moment was a lady who stared at Eli in an "I want to steal you" kind of way through an ENTIRE meal at a restaurant once. She didn't look at me or J.C. at all or even have the courtesy to look away when we would look over at her. We ended up scarfing our food down and got the heck out of there as quickly as possible!

I totally agree.

Ooo! I hate when strangers touch Kendall! It is usually her hair. She is weirded (is that a word?) out too and will just stare at them like, "what in the world are you doing?!" It is so funny!

And I second Jessica starting a blog!

That is super strange! Kinda creepy!!! I haven't had anyone bust this out on my son yet...but I'll know now to be watching out for the weirdos!

Oh, weird. That is beyond weird.

I haven't had anyone touch Chloe yet. I don't want them to! I have people blow kisses and try to get her smiles and all that... but touch her? Yuck.

whoa...that is not okay!

People are so weird.

As is your word verification generator. EVERY SINGLE TIME I got to comment on your blog, I get something dirty or close to dirty that I have to type.

And this one is bad. And even spelled correctly.

Your blog has a dirty mind.
