If My Head Weren't Attached...

I just might leave IT in Walmart.

I made a quick run into Walmart today. Walmart, quick? What?

Anyway, today was a particularly difficult day with a certain toddler, who may or may not have the same last name as me and who may or may not carry half of my DNA.

Couple the nerve-grinding super cute tantrum that certain little toddler was throwing (including him climbing onto and laying across the bagging area of the self-checkout) with me being on the phone and you've got the perfect recipe.

The perfect recipe for what? For leaving my purchases sitting in the bag as I walk out to the car, load both kids in and then, THEN, realize I don't have any bags in my cart. Who does that?

Today was a particularly difficult day...and I've got about 8 hours to get geared up for it again.

Oh my gosh, I am SO sorry:) That is AWFUL! If it makes you feel in better I once went through the Zaxby's drive through paid for my food and drove all the way home WITHOUT my food:) I was pretty embarrassed when I went back and had to say "yes I am the lady who FORGOT my food!"

Aww, I could totally see myself doing that too Jaci! But who wouldn't go back for their food?! Ya know?

Oh noooo...I'm so sorry! I've been pretty close to doing that before. I can't believe the cashier let you walk away!

Surely you aren't talking about my precious grandson.

I should clarify that I was in the self checkout line. So...no cashier let me leave. I did it all on my own ;).

This isn't quite as bad, but I've been getting into couponing lately, so the other day I went to the grocery store with my very well-planned out list and freshly cut coupons in hand. The whole planning ordeal took the better part of an hour that morning. Went to the store, got my stuff, went through the check-out, loaded up the kids, drove out of the parking lot and THEN realized that my coupons were all in my pocket. AAGGGHHH! I wasted the time planning AND missed out on about $10 of savings. I was very frustrated, needless to say.

Jaci - I did that exact same thing at Taco Bell one day right after I had Eli. And G - I didn't go back for the food. It was about the time that gas was $4 a gallon and I figured out it would cost me almost as much in gas to go back as the food itself cost....

Frustrating!
I wonder how much money fast food restaurants make selling food that they end up keeping in the store...

I'm sorry for laughing at your frustration (but I have to believe you're ok with that or you wouldn't have posted the story)...
but for those of us who don't get to see you and Sam on a regular basis it is so easy to picture the whole thing in my mind and I couldn't help laughing!
With you, not at you. And missing and loving you both :)
