It feels good to get them, but I don't need accolades.
Many times a day, especially when the kids are being loud, rambuncious, or especially, disobedient, I try to focus on this.
I don't need it, but I still appreciate it.
So thank you to those (Bob, my sisters, my parents and Bob's parents, friends) who do, in fact, encourage and praise my work. I can't imagine doing anything else.

I got choked up reading this. Thank you. And great job, Mama!
Love that post. :) You are so loved, and so appreciated. And as Matthew tells me almost every day when he leaves for work, "You are doing GOOD." Not praising, which would be "you are doing well," or "you are doing a good job at this," but a reminder that the work we are doing is to bring GOOD into their hearts - to push back the gates of hell, even when it only looks like a little childishness in children's hearts. Be encouraged, Mama! You are doing GOOD, and I'm sure that you're also doing quite a bang-up job of it. ;)
