Ughhh

I hate shopping for jeans.

At first, the idea sounds good. You know, find a nice dark wash, wide-legged pair of jeans that flatter the backside...then, reality hits. You know those mannequins that clothing designers use to fit clothes? Well apparently, a mannequin in my size does not exist.

If the pants fit in the waist, they're a "tad snug" in the butt/thigh area. However, if they fit there, you know the waist is too big. Oh! Not to mention about 80% of the jeans out there are "low-rise" which I refer to as scandalous, at least they are on me.

A few weeks ago, I actually had some luck at Old Navy. However, those jeans are exactly what I'd call every-day jeans. Either way, I like them and they fit really well. For some reason though, I can't find a picture of them on the internet....phantom jeans.

On a completely unrelated note, this is kinda cool.

Oh my poor dear. After you have a baby, everything changes. Mine changed even more after Felix. Something I've become a HUGE fan of lately is tayloring clothes. I love the show "What Not To Wear" (11am during the week on TLC) and they always suggest that- especially for women who are pear-shaped. It's not that expensive (usually about $10), and you'll love the result. And you'll end up actually wearing the jeans you bought. Some department stores even taylor for free or for very cheap.

Sadly, I cannot blame this on having a kid. It has been a lifelong problem. You're right, WNTW does ALWAYS suggest tayloring. Guess i've just been too lazy to mess with that before. I should give it a try!

Glad there was a completely unrelated note...
