What's Choxie? I wondered to myself.
Choxie is, what I like to call, funky chocolate.
I bought some truffles around Christmas with peppermint flakes on the outside - delicious!
Then, I got some Valentines Day clearance Choxie. This particular box, regular price probably $8, on sale for around $2, had 4 different types of chocolate. My favorite of these four was called Fiery. It was dark chocolate with something spicy in it. It was soooo good and I don't even like spicy stuff. I don't know why, the combination of the two was just good. I gave Bob a piece and as he was eating it, because the spicy takes a few seconds to kick in, he says, "Is it possible that this has something spicy in it?" I wish y'all could've seen his face when he asked. It was like he didn't trust what he was tasting since it was such an abnormal combination.
Anyway, here's what's weird. I can't find a website for Choxie. If you type in http://www.choxie.com/, it takes you to Target's grocery section. Strange right? I mean, it's not like Target has its own Choxie chocolate factory in the back, right? It is, apparently, an exclusive brand. And while we're on exclusive brands...Target also carries Wine Cube. What a great deal. You can get the equivalent of two bottles in a cube for about the same price as a moderately priced bottle of wine (which definitely has some novelty to it). They've also got cute covers to go over the cubes.
Anyway, back to the chocolate. I'm sort of a sucker for cute packaging. I say sort of because I know I am. That means, I'm definitely drawn to it but I won't buy something just because of the packaging. Choxie has cute packaging and sometimes they have chocolate with the same patterns as what's on their packaging, on the candy. See Artisan Collection.
I actually haven't seen most of the types shown online in our store and there are a lot in our store that aren't shown online. You should definitely check out your local Target. Give it a taste and let me know what you think. In fact, I think I'll do a giveaway.
Here's how we'll do it...
If the winner is local (and I see you pretty often), I'll bring you a box - of my choosing :).
If the winner isn't local, I'll mail you a $10 gift card for Target and trust that you'll use it to try Choxie!
To enter:
Just leave a comment telling me if you prefer white, milk, or dark chocolate.
Let me know if you've ever tried Choxie and if you win, will you eat the candy, share it or give all of it away?
Non-bloggers can enter, just be sure you leave your email address so I can contact you if ya win!
As always, I use the random number generator to pick a winner. I'll do so next Tuesday, March 25th.

I don't like chocolate. I realize this is weird. One of those things about me. If I DO have chocolate, it has to be white chocolate or milk-chocolate. Which, now, is a total impossibility because milk chocolate has... well... milk in it! ;) I very much dislike dark chocolate.
BUT - I have plenty of friends who adore chocolate (basically every girl I know aside from me, my sister & one other friend)
So - If I win... I will give away the gift card. ;) But why not play? Give aways are fun.
Who knows - maybe I'll even give it to you to use!! ;)
Mmmm, chocolate. Dove dark chocolate is the absolute bomb. Really, any chocolate. I have these triple chocolate Lindor truffles at home right now - they combine all three forms of chocolate into one ball of deliciousness. Milk chocolate wrapped white chocolate dipped in dark chocolate...
Choxie rocks my socks. I remember the ads when it came out ("Choxie...ch-ch-ch-chocolate with moxie!") and my college roommate and I pretty much went directly to Target.
I have never heard of Choxie, but I'm intrigued. I don't know how I would feel about the spicy/chocolate combo though.....
I don't discriminate against chocolate- I LOVE all types, although milk or dark win out over white.
I would share maybe one Choxie with my husband... two if he's lucky! :)
Yes, Choxie. Choxie is fun. Although I have to say I've never tried more of their daring stuff- just stuck with the truffles that are just chocolate on chocolate. But they are quite delicious.
I am a chocolate connoseuir. Of course, I'm acclamated to cheap chocolate (Hershey and Cadbury-although I think Cadbury is far superior to Hershey) because it is cheap chocolate (excuse the redundancy), but my favorite is Godiva. Yum. I have tried chocolates from different countries, but I have not tried Choxie, but really only because I thought "why would Target make their own chocolate?". I'm a tad bit suspicious of it. So, if I were to win the contest (despite my run-on sentences) I would buy Choxie and then share it with my friends to see what everybody thought about it. BTW, I love dark chocolate and milk chocolate, but hate white chocolate unless it covers pretzels or is in White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies.
I've never tried Choxie, but I intend to every time I go to Target. I'm from Canada, but we go to the States about 1/2 a dozen times a year and we ALWAYS go to Target. I love the packaging. I love chocolate. I love all chocolate : ) And if I were to get some, I wouldn't share...unless someone asked me very, very nicely.
I love Mr Pibb too! and etsy!
hands down dark chocolate - and i keep it all to myself.
umm yeah, choxie is just plain awesome. had never heard of it until recently when I got some at a baby shower...if I had to pick a chocolate, well I think I'd just have to pick all three: milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark...in that order. :) if I happened to win some, I would definitely have to hog it all to myself (sounds like a good addition to my "teacher stash" in my desk drawer)
I've seen Choxie a gazillion times, seeing as I practically live at Target, but I've never purchased it. I love all chocolates, but white is a bit of a treat. :) If I were to win, I could either share it with the kids (who would be tearing me to bits to do so), or I could hide in the bathroom with the water running to eat it all by my lonesome in peace... hmmmm....
Oh Greta. I just loved this post. And I love Choxie, too. The packaging is so cute (and ALMOST worth buying it for all by itself. Good thing it tastes great as well!) If we're talking about favorites, I prefer Dark. Not a fan of Hershey's chocolate bars. Has to have a little "oommmph" to it. =)
I like White Chocolate...and anything with coconut MMMMM
I have never tried this delicious looking treat...will probably share only because I wont like every flavor..hehe
I HOPE I WIN
I love chocolate, but I'm a bit of a food snob (suprised?) so I can say im not ususally into trying mass produced chocolates...
anyway, I would be willing to try Choxie...I have seen their packages in Target and yes, I agree they are cute!
oh, and I love dark chocolate and would, of course, share with Scottie! ;)
One of my students brought me the dark chocolate Choxie truffles for my birthday- they were seriously the BEST chocolate I've ever had! Melt in your mouth amazingly delicious! SO I must say I agree with you:) Dark is my fav....
I love just plain ole milk chocolate....but i have never tried this kinda before. if i win im sure i will try some but give some away also! hope i made the dead line!
:D
it would definately have to be milk chocolate. i would share it with my best friend because we share almost everything.if i got the gift card i would buy choxie. i have never had any, but i know
i would enjoy some.
