Carnival O'Goodies

Once again, it's time for the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival!

If you're a new reader, why, welcome!
If you're a regular reader, holla.

I'll keep it short and simple. Since it was such a hit last time, I'm giving away another $5 gift card to Starbucks.

The rules are as follows:
To enter, leave me a comment, only one, with your favorite/most memorable Halloween costume. (It can be one you wore or one your kids have worn!)
I'll close comments Saturday, November 1st at 10:00 p.m. and draw a winner that night.
I'll notify the winner via email or a comment on your blog (if you have one). If you are a blogger, PLEASE be sure that your profile is set to public. If you aren't a blogger, please be sure to leave an email address. If I can't contact you, or if I don't hear back from you within 2 days, I'll have to draw another winner.
***Edited to add - You must have a U.S. mailing address to enter. Thanks!***

If you do leave a comment like, "pick me!" or "I love Starbucks!", I will delete your comment.
If you do not leave a way for me to contact you, in case you're the chosen winner, I will delete your comment.
If you leave multiple comments, I will delete the extras.

Ok, I think that's it. Oh! Remember to check back here frequently. There will be new giveaways up each day and the later they post, the fewer people will enter, which means the higher likelihood you have of winning, yea!

This is so sad, but the only costume I remember was when I was a ballerina and my mom made me a tutu. It was the thinnest, most un-floofy tutu anybody ever saw!

I just finished making a fairy costume (with tutu!) for my girl... it's probably the floofiest tutu ever. She actually complained that it was too fluffy!

In 4th grade I just had to dress up as a punk rocker. I had the crimped hair, ripped, bleached jeans, tie died shirt with fringe at the bottom...I also begged my aunt to lend me her silver VERY HEAVY, lightning bolt earrings that dangled down to my houlder. She finally gave in...They were so heavy that they stretched out my piercing hole and to this day I can not wear small stud type earrings in my left ear or they just pull right through and I lose them...oh the things we do as kids just to look cool!!

Thanks!

Ahh...I was waiting for someone to ask this question. When my daughter was 3, she was hooked on Veggie Tales. So I made her a Bob the tomato costume. I had to stuff it so full of plastic grocery sacks that we had a dickens of finding a way for her to even sit down!

Thanks
Angie

When my first son was almost 2 we decided at the last minute to take Tricker treating. We didn't have a lot of money so my sister and I put him in blue sweat pants and onesie. Than cut an m out of sticky felt and put on a blue sweatshirt. Then we put the sweatshirt on him and stuffed him with fiberfill between the 2 shirts. He looks so cute. I will never forget my homemade blue M&M

I was a genie..and it was an awesome costume. Actually come to think of it, it was the last time I dressed up for Halloween.. but it really stands out cause it was such a great costume.

My favorites include a penguin and a cow, both outfits my mother sewed and created a paper mache head. Oh i was also a hershey kiss and won first prize in a costume contest that year. It was heavy as all get out though.

The most memorable Halloween costume for me is actually a toss up. My grandmother was an excellent seamstress and made most of our costumes. One my sister wore when we were little was a mermaid costume, and it was made so that it was tight at her ankles so she had to waddle to walk. The tail stuck out at the very bottom so that as she waddled the tail swished. Then there was one she made for me - I was barely a teenager and just starting to get "curves." The costume was a Broadway/top hat dancer - with the fishnet stockings, short black shorts, tuxedo jacket and a white ruffled shirt, paired with a black top hat and black high heels. I felt SO sexy! :)

i'm a teacher and i dress up every year for various events. things like spirit week for home coming, red ribbon week, and halloween. faculty and kids come to check out what i'm wearing. pretty fun. my most memorable for everyone was when i dressed like a cow. people still talk about it. imagine your teacher talking about how to create a spreadsheet in excel dressed like a cow

My son decided to be Charlie Chaplin after we watched a lot of the old films...he looked great, got a perfect jacket and cane from thrift store, hat and moustache were cute, parents and grandparents giving out candy loved the costume and knew exactly who he was (he did the walk too).
