Just about every night, Bob or I will go get Sam and bring him in our room....to cuddle. He's not really cuddly during the day (unless he's sick or REALLY tired) so really, he kind of forced our hand.
Annnnd, sometimes he wakes up. That's right, we get our kid up after he's fallen asleep knowing that he may very well wake up. But he goes right back down! It's incredible. Maybe it's a trade-off for him not being cuddly, you know, while he's conscious.

More power to you for being brave!! :) We were always so scared that Ali WOULDN'T go back to sleep. BUT she always does when we come home from small group, so I can totally buy that Sam does as well. CUTE!
Oh, man. What a great idea. We've actually debated doing that (Vale is not snuggly.) but have decided against it...
If I let Thomas see this blog, she'd be in our bed every night. He's just looking for an excuse to cuddle her more!
He is so cute!
That is hilarious! I so understand the not having a cuddly child, but I don't think I would dare wake her! It's sweet though that y'all do that.
Now that Mac is in a twin bed, I've crawled into his bed with him to snuggle before! He was never snuggly, but Rachael is a total cuddle-bug. I love it!
He is such a cutie-patootie! I love the snuggling in bed myself. With our first, I was so scared of letting him in our bed in case it became so much of a habit that he wouldn't sleep in his bed. (I heard way too many horror stories.) With David, we totally relaxed. We need to get a king-size bed now though so we can fit all 3 of them in the bed with us on stormy nights or just those nights we want to cuddle!
If it were up to Preston, our boys would get to fall asleep in our bed every night.
i've thought about this post a lot. one, his expression is melt-your-heart-adorable. two, i often want to get my kids out of bed and snuggle them, too, but hauling an 8-yr-old out of the top bunk is pretty challenging. jillian sleeps so light and cries when we wake her. that leaves us with miles, who is the all-time best snuggler of this century...but, still, i leave him there and wait for the snuggle in the morning.
