Well, Hello There Positive Pregnancy Test

Sunday, March 14

Found out tonight that we're pregnant with #3. Let me repeat that, pregnant with #3. And if you'll recall, I just posted this the day before. Quick math so you don't have to do it...Grey and this babe will be 15 months apart.

Whew.

It doesn't seem real. I guess I haven't quite gotten used to the idea. In so many ways, I feel like I haven't completely gotten the hang of two kids. In other ways, I feel like we're really starting to settle into a nice little groove.

Sam, I have this sense of impending responsibility for you. I know what it's like to have two younger siblings. I know the feeling of responsibility you'll have, or the feeling I hope you'll have. I know what your dad and I will expect of you. You are a great big brother already and it'll be fun to see you welcome yet another baby into the mix. Protect them, keep making them laugh and always stick up for them.

Grey, I think I'm feeling a little melancholy because you're still a baby and now I have another baby to think about. I remember feeling this way with Sam. I felt like I was abandoning him. I was sad that it wouldn't just be me and my little buddy anymore. You've fit right into the mix though, Grey. But now I feel that way about you. I don't want you to feel slighted and I don't want to miss out on any of your baby time. Obviously, that will be pretty difficult legistically so I'm feeling a little weird about it. Please know that you are a precious baby. I love the age you are right now (7 months). Can't wait to see how great of a big brother you are. Wow, that's weird to type.

Babe #3, we already love you. You were a bit of a surprise, but around here, we like surprises! You've got two great brothers to chase after and harrass, and one awesome dad. You'll see. And pretty soon, you'll have your own little identity, monthly pictures and funny stories.

Bob, it may not seem like it but you're helping me not get crazy. You're excited about this already while I'm still adjusting to the idea a little ;). You're biggest concern seems to be how to fit 3 car seats in the Explorer. We'll be outnumbered soon but there's no one I'd rather be outnumbered with, p.s. I'm already outnumbered when you're not home. You are such a great dad. Seeing your relationship with each of the boys grow is such a joy. 3 kiddos...here we go. Or 4 if it's twins.

This is amazing, you know i get pumped about this!!!!!! Twins are great, but that would be A TON on your plate...having 4 under the age of.....3?!?!?!? one would be perfectly FINE, but we´ll see I guess...no control there!!! Again I don´t know how you do it all. If you wrote a book, I would buy it, it would be quirky and hilarious with amazing information and insights....in case you are bored during your "free time" something to think about. ;):):)

Congratulations!!! I'm excited for y'all! If only they made a bench seat car seat....three seats in one!

...But that'd be fun to take out and wash when one puked on it...

I'm honored to be your sister, G. I really, really hope I can be a mom like you when the time comes.

Tell Bob to call John about the car seat issue. John's a pro at it by now.
CONGRATS!!!!!!
Close together is so wonderful and yes, a bit overwhelming, but they are all the best of buddies!
Yay!

You're on the same path as my parents... They ended up with 4 kids in 4 1/2 years. And I must agree with Natalie, close together is wonderful! My siblings and I definitely got on eachothers' nerves some growing up, but we're all the best of friends now :)
