Fix Your Own Stinkin’ Food

I consider it a large part of my *job to feed my children well, and enough. Many days, it seems like all I do is prepare food, dispense food, clean up food, repeat. That’d be all well and good if these efforts were appreciated.

I’m onto Bob. He’s been expressing enough appreciation for him, as well as the three kids. The kids are frequently in the camp of, “I don’t weewy wike dis (Sam)”, “dis is yucky (Grey)”, or I’ll just let this roll off my tongue and throw it on the floor…they laugh at everything I do anyway (Bo).

Honestly, sometimes I feel a little like this….

*Sam recently decided I don’t have a real job since I don’t leave the house to go to work. So, I guess that thinking starts early... Awesome.

I understand how you feel. My Mom always made us eat whatever she fixed. I'm thinking Ali's about old enough where she starts such behavior. I'm tired of serving PB&J as a "side" to every meal.

I've totally thought this! Shockingly, though, I've never actually said it out loud. :) We're working on Ella eating what we're eating, but there are some nights where I know it's just not worth the effort of forcing it. I was a super picky eater, so I'm sure karma will come back to get me...

This is awesome. I think I may have said something to that effect very recently as well. And Kit has definitely asked me why I don't have a job. Little does she know, she probably won't have a "job" either!
