Our zoo has something called Zoolight Safari. Basically, around Christmas, they decorate the zoo with Christmas lights and blow-up Santas, trains and snowmen. All the animals are put away except for those in the petting zoo section.
Sam has decided he is petrified of the blow-up things. Peh-treh-fied. So, we had a great time at the Zoolight Safari including avoiding any and all vicious, life-threatening blow-up Santas and snowmen.

Isn't it funny what the kids will be afraid of? I am always surprised at Vale's latest fear.
Zoolight Safari was fun, but I was kinda disappointed. I've heard so much about it for years, and this was the first time we went. Of course Vale loved it, and Thomas and I loved to people watch...that was far more entertaining than the lights.
I thought about Sam when we went to zoolight safari. I was thinking it might not be his scene this year given his blow-up phobia :).
